Data controller
Menu des Langues, 16 Rue de Genève, 67000 Strasbourg, France. For any question about your data, write to contact@menudeslangues.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, what your message is about, your message, and — if you ask for a consultation — your general availability. Nothing else about you is collected. The site does not record your IP address or build a profile of you.
Why we collect it
To read your message and reply to it, and to arrange a consultation where you have asked for one. Your details are not used for anything else and are never sold.
Legal basis
Your consent. You tick the box on the contact form before anything is sent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to contact@menudeslangues.com. Analytics likewise run only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
Who sees it
Menu des Langues reads your enquiry. If you accept analytics, Google receives anonymous usage data about which pages are visited — never the contents of your message. Your details are not shared with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Your enquiry is kept only as long as it takes to deal with it and any follow-up, and is deleted once it is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive a copy in a portable form. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Write to contact@menudeslangues.com and we will respond.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.
Cookies
No cookie is set when you arrive. Choosing a language stores MDL_LOCALE, which holds only ‘fr’ or ‘en’ and lasts a year. Answering the cookie banner stores MDL_CONSENT, which holds only your choice and lasts six months. Google Analytics cookies (_ga) are set only if you accept, last about two years, and are deleted if you change your mind using ‘Cookie preferences’ in the footer.
